Motivation
One of the key administrative tasks for BizTalkers has been tracking the time worked by our consultants, so that we invoice our clients correctly.
Over the years we used several methods for this, from simple Excel spreadsheets to sophisticated — and expensive — SaaS applications. We were never entirely happy with any of them, so we built billbytime.net to meet our own requirements, and those of any business facing the same problem. The key driver was to keep it simple.
The app
Having used and improved the app throughout 2025, we decided its features could benefit plenty of other companies that invoice clients based on hours or days worked.
It launched in Q4 2025, providing the features our spreadsheet was missing while staying straightforward to understand and operate.
